Water Research Foundation — Research Award

The Water Research Foundation (WRF) recognizes individuals for innovative research in water quality and the water environment. The award includes a US$100 thousand grant. The award is open to individuals from all segments of the water quality community. Self-nominations are accepted. There are no restrictions based on citizenship or nationality. IHE Delft Institute for Water Education — SIDS Scholarship

The IHE Delft Institute for Water Education offers SIDS Scholarships for the MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development, targeting professionals from Small Island Developing States. The scholarship covers tuition fees, insurance, international travel costs, and a monthly allowance of €1,220 for living and accommodation expenses during the study period. African Bird Club — Conservation and Expedition Awards

The ABC Conservation Awards (up to £3 thousand) support small and medium-sized bird conservation projects in Africa. Applicants should normally be resident in Africa. The ABC Expedition Awards (up to £5 thousand) take place within continental Africa or adjacent islands, with a strong base in conservation and birds. Applications are reviewed multiple times a year, with deadlines at the end of February, June, and October. Link

Turtle Conservation Fund — Research and Conservation of Tortoises and Freshwater Turtles

The Turtle Conservation Fund (TCF) makes grants to organizations and individuals worldwide for the conservation and research of endangered and critically endangered tortoises and freshwater turtles. TCF lists priority species. Most regular grants are US$2 thousand to US$5 thousand per project. The Fund also makes seed grants of US$1 thousand or less. British Herpetological Society — Student Grants

The British Herpetological Society (BHS) offers small grants to current students in support of herpetological fieldwork and other research costs. Projects which benefit species of conservation concern are likely to be favored. The scheme is open to students and research projects in any country, but applications from countries where funds are relatively easy to obtain may be at a disadvantage. Applicants do not have to be BHS members, though this is encouraged. Small grants are up to £300. The remaining application deadlines are 01 June and 01 December 2026. BHS student grants

Bow Seat — Ocean Awareness Contest

Bow Seat invites applications for the Ocean Awareness Contest to engage students in environmental conservation through creative expression. The program encourages participants to explore the connection between human activities and the health of the ocean through categories such as visual art, creative writing, film, interactive and multimedia, and performing arts. Eligible applicants include students worldwide between the ages of 11 and 18. The contest offers various cash awards, with gold prize winners receiving US$1,000, silver winners receiving US$750, and bronze winners receiving US$500. The contest deadline is 08 June 2026. Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility — Postgraduate Studies in Disaster Risk Management in the Caribbean

CCRIF SPC (Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility) serves the Wider Caribbean Region in reducing the economic impact of natural catastrophes. As a part of its program, the facility provides scholarships to students at the post-graduate level to pursue study in areas related to disaster risk management. Eligibility extends to citizens of CARICOM member countries and/or CCRIF member countries in the Caribbean. The scholarships are valued at a maximum of US$40 thousand at extra-regional universities and US$11 thousand at regional universities. The deadline for applications is 14 June 2026. Global Biodiversity Information Facility — Ebbe Nielsen Challenge 2026

The GBIF Ebbe Nielsen Challenge is an annual competition that seeks to inspire innovative applications of open-access biodiversity data. In 2025, the Challenge will award a total of €20 thousand for advancements in open science that feature tools and techniques that improve the access, usefulness, and quality of open biodiversity data. The Challenge is open worldwide to individuals, teams of individuals, companies and their employees, and governmental agencies and their employees. The closing date for submissions is 26 June 2026. Paradise Wildlife Park — Grants for Conservation Projects

Paradise Wildlife Park offers short-term grants for conservation projects around the world. The maximum amount available is £1000 per project. Zayed Sustainability Prize — Call for Applications

The Zayed Sustainability Prize recognizes achievements that are driving impact, innovation and inspiration in environmental stewardship and global sustainability. The Prize is awarded across several categories: (i) Health; (ii) Food; (iii) Energy; (iv) Water; and (v) Global high schools (i.e., high schools in six world regions). The winners in each category receive US$600 thousand each. The closing date for applications and nominations is June 2026. Know more
