Audi Environmental Foundation — One Young World Scholarship

The One Young World Summit brings together young talents (ages 18-30) from many nationalities to share solutions addressing the world’s pressing issues. One Young World offers scholarships to ensure that the most qualified young leaders participate in the Summit, regardless of their ability to pay. Selected participants receive a fully-funded scholarship to attend the One Young World Summit in Montréal, Canada (September 2024). The application deadline is 17 March 2024. Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit — Africa Fellowship Program

AFRIKA KOMMT! is a fellowship program that provides young African professionals with a one-year career transformational experience at leading German companies. Participants receive management training followed by an 8-month fellowship in a partner company. The monthly allowance is € 750. The initiative is open to citizens from all countries in Africa. Zebra Foundation — Support for Vets and Vet Students

The Zebra Foundation for Veterinary Zoological Education assists veterinary students and veterinary surgeons from anywhere in the world to gain additional experience in veterinary zoological medicine. The program funds seeing practice at an institution specializing in zoological medicine or research projects (laboratory, field, or clinic-based) leading to advances in zoo and wildlife health. Fondation Segré — Conservation Action Fund

Fondation Segré provides support to address global conservation efforts specifically focusing on the conservation of globally threatened ungulate species as recognized by the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. The calls aim to safeguard their habitats, address the threats they face, and promote the well-being of both the species themselves and the communities that share the same ecosystems. The maximum grant size for conservation action support is €50 thousand for a maximum duration of 12 months. The maximum grant size for research support is €7 thousand. West African Research Association — Residency Fellowship

The West African Research Association, (WARA) offers Residencies for WARA member institutions to host a West African Scholar on their campus. Each residency will last 4-8 weeks. WARA will pay the round-trip travel costs of the selected scholar as well as a stipend of US$3500 to help cover meals and local transportation costs. Applications must be submitted by 03 March 2024. West African Research Association — Pre-doctoral Fellowship

The West African Research Association, (WARA) offers pre-doctoral fellowships. The fellowship is for 2 to 3 months of research in West Africa during summer. This competition is open to U.S. citizens who are currently enrolled in graduate programs at institutions of higher education in the United States. Each fellowship will provide round-trip travel to a West African country and a stipend of up to US$3,500. Applications must be submitted by 03 March 2024. WARA Pre-doctoral Fellowship

The West African Research Association, (WARA) offers post-doctoral fellowships. The fellowship is for 2 to 3 months of research in West Africa during summer. Imperial College London — Climate Investment Challenge

The Climate Investment Challenge calls on graduate students to develop financial solutions and innovations addressing climate change, such as untapped climate finance opportunities or innovative financial structures that improve the bankability of climate investments. The Main Prize challenges students to create innovative financial structures or instruments that enhance the bankability of climate investments or utilize existing tools to explore untapped climate finance opportunities. The Emerging and Developing Markets Prize calls on students to use innovative financial instruments or existing financial tools to address an underserved climate change issue. The Data Analytics Prize is looking for students to develop creative ways to combine existing climate and environmental datasets with financial information to improve the adoption of climate finance or address climate risk. Eligibility extends to students enrolled in a postgraduate degree (Master’s, MBA, or PhD-level) at the time of the submission. International Herpetological Symposium — Amphibian and Reptile Conservation

The International Herpetological Symposium (IHS) provides financial assistance to individuals or organizations conducting herpetological research, conservation, and education. World Food Prize Foundation — Borlaug Award for Field Research 2024

The World Food Prize Foundation invites nominations for the Norman Borlaug Award for Field Research. The Award (US$10 thousand) recognizes science-based achievement in international agriculture and food production by an individual under the age of 40. The award will honor an individual who is working closely “in the field” with farmers, animal herders, fishers, or others in rural communities. The deadline for nominations is 15 June 2024.
