Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund — Biodiversity Conservation in Madagascar and the Indian Ocean Islands

The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) seeks to empower communities and civil society in Madagascar and the Indian Ocean Islands to implement actions to improve the resilience of species, ecosystems, and human populations to climate change. CEPF intends to make small grants of up to US$50 thousand in support of strengthening the capacity of local communities and civil society at regional and local levels to enhance adaptive capacity and reduce exposure to climate change risks, and supporting research and ensure the dissemination of results for the promotion and improvement of knowledge on ecosystem-based adaptation actions. World Food Programme — Climate Adaptation

The WFP Innovation Accelerator aims to identify, support, and scale high-impact innovations that enhance climate adaptation in Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt. The World Food Programme invites innovators, entrepreneurs, and changemakers with groundbreaking solutions that drive resilience, enhance climate adaptability, and promote sustainable development in affected communities to apply. More than US$ 1 million in equity-free funding will be available for 8-10 startups. Eugenio Garza Lagüera Entrepreneurship Institute — Climate Acceleration Program

The Eugenio Garza Lagüera Entrepreneurship Institute invites applications for an acceleration program to develop capabilities and provide resources to startups with high business potential and climate impact. Entrepreneurs must have a product or service that aligns with at least one of the following impact areas: Energy access and generation; Low emission transport; Buildings, cities, industries, and appliances; Forestry and land use resources. The program includes a grant without dilution from equity to €100 thousand and mentorship from experts. Businesses located in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Peru, or the Dominican Republic are eligible to apply. The application deadline is 23 August 2024. Details

Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund — Biodiversity Conservation in Tanzania

The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) releases a call for Letters of Inquiry for organizations that address the conservation of biodiversity in light of climate change in the Indian Ocean Islands of Tanzania and Zanzibar. CEPF expects to make between 6-10 awards with a maximum value of US$200 thousand. Eligibility for grants extends to NGOs, community groups, private enterprises, universities, and other civil society applicants. The deadline for letters of inquiry is 04 September 2024. Link

U.S. National Fish and Wildlife Foundation — Seabird Conservation Program 2024

The U.S. National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) invites applications to improve populations of focal Pacific seabirds through actions that increase survival and reproduction. Proposed projects may address the management of non-native, invasive animals; restoration of nesting grounds and habitat; research and monitoring activities to address conservation needs; or activities that reduce bycatch. Earth Company — Impact Hero 2025

Each year, Earth Company selects one Impact Hero that has the potential to transform the future of developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Impact Heroes are visionary leaders who tackle some of the most pressing social and environmental challenges and make transformative changes to the communities they serve. Earth Company provides 3 years of support through leadership coaching, fundraising, marketing, and business development. Eligibility extends to everybody and all forms of organizations. Beyond the Grid Fund for Africa — Off-Grid Energy

Beyond the Grid Fund for Africa (BGFA) aims to incentivize private off-grid energy service companies to scale up their innovative sustainable businesses and accelerate access to affordable and clean off-grid energy in Mozambique. The BGFA invites off-grid energy companies to submit proposals for clean and affordable energy solutions in peri-urban and rural areas. Grants are expected to be between €1 million and €2 million, depending on the country. The application process is divided into two stages: (1) Pre-Qualification and (2) Final Application.
