United States Agency for International Development — Youth-led Climate Action MENA

USAID seeks climate change and environmental solutions from youth-led organizations across the MENA region. Organizations are invited to submit applications for a regional grant competition where selected organizations will receive up to US$62 thousand to implement their proposed climate initiatives. Applicants must be locally registered in one of the following countries: Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Jordan, Tunisia, West Bank/Gaza or Yemen. The application deadline is 19 August 2022. Snow Leopard Network — Small Grants

The ‘With Snow Leopards’ Small Grant (SLSG) provides financial support and promotes snow leopard research and conservation across the snow leopard range. In 2022, SLSG will support 1-2 projects addressing Snow leopard research and conservation, public educational programs to promote snow leopard conservation, and research projects that address critical questions related to snow leopard ecology. Selected projects will be awarded between up to US$15 thousand. The proposed project duration should not exceed 12 months. European Commission — Awareness Raising in Renewable Energy

The European Commission (EC) seeks to increase public and private-sector awareness of renewable energy & energy efficiency policies contributing to sustainable energy supply, consumption and security in Vietnam. The program will fund initiatives with up to €3.5 million. Eligibility to apply extends to non-profit civil society organizations or international organizations established in Vietnam or in a Member State of the European Union. Global Environment Facility — Climate Reporting

The Global Environment Facility (GEF) finances international environmental conventions and country-driven initiatives related to climate change response in developing countries. The GEF provides grants to support climate reporting activities to help countries identify and subsequently implement ambitious climate action. U.S. Department of State — TechCamp for Climate Action

The United States Department of State announces the 2022 Young Pacific Leaders TechCamp for Climate Action. The TechCamp will bring young leaders from across the Pacific together with regional and U.S. leaders in the field of climate science and science communication to identify innovative approaches to climate resiliency and mitigation. Applicants must be at least 23 years and have demonstrated professional experience in the field of climate science. Applications will be accepted until 10 August 2022. TechCamp for Climate Action

U.S. Mission to New Zealand — Small Grants Program

The U.S. Mission New Zealand announces an open competition for organizations interested in submitting proposals to organize a comprehensive small grants program with training workshops for emerging leaders in the Pacific region. The program should bring together emerging leaders, ages 25-35, and provide them with practical leadership skills related to environment/resource management and economic/social development. The location of the in-person training workshops should be in New Zealand. The estimated total program funding is US$250 thousand. Clean Cooking Alliance — Clean Cooking Women Leaders Award

The Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) invited applications for the Clean Cooking Women Leaders Award (WLA). The award recognizes women who are advancing clean cooking solutions in emerging markets. Winners will receive a sponsorship to attend the Clean Cooking Forum 2022 in Ghana (October 2022) and a financial sponsorship toward leadership coaching. West African Research Association — Ideas Matter Doctoral Fellowships

The West African Research Association (WARA), in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation, announces support for young West African scholars through its Ideas Matter Doctoral Fellowship program. The Fellowship program will award three doctoral research grants of US$4 thousand each. Priority will be given to research projects focusing on women, technology, entrepreneurship, and a wide range of other fields. Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs — Climate Leaders Fellowship

The Yale Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship offers 16 young climate and clean energy practitioners from across the Global South the opportunity to broaden their technical skills and deepen their professional networks through an eight-month training program. Applicants should be between five and ten years into their professional careers and come from developing countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America or the Caribbean. SEED — Starter Workshop for Eco-Enterprises in Kenya

SEED offers valuable resources and professional support to expand entrepreneurial ideas while learning from peers during interactive SEED Starter workshops. SEED Starter workshops consist of a team of 2-5 members that bring in a business idea for addressing environmental, social and economic challenges. Successful alumni are invited to apply for a SEED Grant for up to €1,000 which pays for resources required to establish the new enterprise.
