The Climate Gender Equity Fund (CGEF) aims to increase access to finance for community-based organizations that advances gender equitable climate action. The Fund seeks climate- and gender-smart fund managers and entrepreneur networks aiming to unlock capital for long-term and systemic change. Organizations may propose to use grant funding for a variety of purposes including building their own capacity to provide gender-smart and gender transformative climate finance. CGEF is targeting grant awards of US$100 thousand to US$300 thousand, but will consider grants up to US$500 thousand. The application deadline is 06 October 2023. Climate Gender Equity Fund

The OCBC Sustainability Innovation Challenge aims to create value and positive changes to promote a sustainable energy transition. The Challenge welcomes startups that possess solutions that can be adapted to address one or more challenge statements. OCBC offers a prize pool of SGD150 thousand and winning teams stand a chance to pilot their solutions with TotalEnergies. Participants can be located anywhere in the world but must have an interest in developing and implementing your solutions with organizations in Southeast Asia after the Challenge. EIT Climate-KIC, IDB Lab, and the Clean Technology Fund seek to advance climate innovation in Latin American and the Caribbean. Up to 25 organizations will receive tailored capacity building and knowledge transfer in specific areas around supporting climate innovations. Eligibility extends to innovation agencies, incubators, accelerators, ecosystem builders, venture capital investors, co-working spaces, and hubs that wish to initiate or deepen their involvement in fighting climate change by supporting start-ups focused on mitigating carbon emissions. Eligible countries are Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, and Peru. The application deadline is 30 September 2023. Climate Arena has a fellowship opportunity for those who have a cross-border and investigative climate story idea. Fellows will be invited to join the Climate Arena journalism conference in Vienna (November 2023), receiving mentoring and training right up to publication time. Fellows will have the opportunity to set up teams and receive a working grant up to €2000. Applicants should be based in Europe to be able to benefit from the program. Deadline is 31 August 2023. The Climate Story Lab is a training program with focus on storytellers in Nigeria and West Africa, whose works are rooted in climate storytelling with strong focus on the region. Projects should be non-fiction films, immersive and interactive stories or podcasts. Fiction films with a clear climate perspective can also be considered. Projects must be in production, post-production or distribution and outreach stages. Applicants must be 18 years or older and be a national of any West African country. Our Kids Climate makes climate microgrants to help you carry out climate projects and activities, for example, webinars, art exhibitions, communication materials, or campaigning actions. Microgrants are small grants (£2 thousand or £4 thousand) for parent-led, intergenerational, and family-centered climate engagement work. South Pole seeks innovative start-ups and companies in sustainable technology and clean energy solutions, community water systems, and others interested in developing carbon credit projects. Successful ventures in the program will benefit from support in development, project validation and certification and carbon credits. The SCALA Private Sector Engagement Facility seeks to identify private sector-oriented interventions to engage businesses in implementing climate plans to mobilize resources and develop innovative climate services solutions. The call for interest to receive support from the SCALA PSE Facility is open to Small Island Developing States and middle-income countries. The Climate, Food and Farming, Global Research Alliance Development Scholarships (CLIFF-GRADS) Program is a capacity training program for early-career scientists from developing countries to conduct applied research in agriculture greenhouse gas emissions quantification and mitigation. The opportunity is open to PhD students undertaking their PhD at a university in a developing country. Successful applicants will go on short term (4-6 month) research stays at a host institution. The Women in Clean Cooking (WICC) Program aims at providing professional development and mentorship support for early to mid-career women in the clean cooking sector in Africa, Asia, and Haiti. The program offers virtual webinars, networking opportunities, and peer-to-peer exchange. Applicants must be senior professionals from the clean cooking and energy sector.
