The Climate Gender Equity Fund (CGEF) aims to increase access to finance for community-based organizations that advances gender equitable climate action. The Fund seeks climate- and gender-smart fund managers and entrepreneur networks aiming to unlock capital for long-term and systemic change. Organizations may propose to use grant funding for a variety of purposes including building their own capacity to provide gender-smart and gender transformative climate finance. The Challenge welcomes startups that possess solutions that can be adapted to address one or more challenge statements. OCBC offers a prize pool of SGD150 thousand and winning teams stand a chance to pilot their solutions with TotalEnergies. Up to 25 organizations will receive tailored capacity building and knowledge transfer in specific areas around supporting climate innovations. Eligibility extends to innovation agencies, incubators, accelerators, ecosystem builders, venture capital investors, co-working spaces, and hubs that wish to initiate or deepen their involvement in fighting climate change by supporting start-ups focused on mitigating carbon emissions. The Climate Story Lab is a training program with focus on storytellers in Nigeria and West Africa, whose works are rooted in climate storytelling with strong focus on the region. Projects should be non-fiction films, immersive and interactive stories or podcasts. Fiction films with a clear climate perspective can also be considered.
