#VALUE4HERConnect is Africa’s first agribusiness intelligence platform aimed at facilitating growth and development of women-owned agribusiness enterprises. The platform calls for registrations of women agri-businesses who wish to do business and trade in African and global agricultural markets. The aim is to create a network of women in agribusiness, increase information flow within women agribusiness networks and with their markets, supply chains and other service providers, including investment and financing partners. The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) and the Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust (PONT) invite Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) for small grants (up to €50 thousand) for projects that support the conservation of plants or the sustainable management of water catchments in the wider Prespa area. Eligibility extends to non-governmental organizations, scientific institutions and academic institutions legally registered in Albania or North Macedonia. The Girl Up Leadership Summit is an opportunity for youth leaders (ages 13-22) to gain the skills, resources, and confidence to make an impact on gender equality in their communities. For selected participants, Girl Up will reimburse up to US$1,000 for transportation costs (bus/train/flight) and provide a complimentary registration to the 2020 Girl Up Leadership Summit in Washington, DC (USA). Getty Images is committed to evolving the visual narratives that define the global climate crisis in the commercial and editorial space. Together with Climate Visuals, Getty Images launches the Climate Visuals Grants which aim to support the creation of compelling and emotionally engaging imagery that explores the complex and layered climate crisis. Photojournalists from around the world are invited to submit projects with a compelling visual narrative based primarily on documentary still images. The Wellcome Trust enables researchers to run international exchange programs specializing in health-related humanities, social sciences or bioethics. An International Exchange Program is up to £1.5 million and can last for three to five years. The Trust covers the costs of carrying out the program. The Wellcome Trust funds groups of researchers who want to shape the direction of their research in health-related humanities, social sciences or bioethics. The Research Development Award is up to £1 million and lasts for three to five years. The award covers the costs of running the applicants research development program. European Commission — Defense of Environmental Rights in Peru
The European Commission aims to strengthen environmental protection and mitigation of climate change by protecting environmental human rights and their defenders. This call focuses on (1) Promoting the transition to a low carbon economy in the Peruvian Amazon; and (2) Improving compliance with Environmental Human Rights (DHA) for better environmental governance. Projects with focus on low-carbon transition can apply for funding of between €500 thousand and €805 thousand. Projects with focus on environmental human rights can apply for funding up to €382 thousand.
