Veolia Foundation — Student Solidarity Awards 2022

The Student Solidarity Awards aim to encourage associations of students in institutions of higher education to take initiatives in community-oriented projects. The program is open in countries around the world where the Veolia group is present. The awards are for innovative approaches in themes that include environmental conservation, development aid, and workforce development. Three contest winners will divide €10 thousand in grants. U.S. Embassy in South Africa — Fulbright Foreign Student Program

The South African Fulbright Foreign Student Program provides grants for university graduates to pursue postgraduate studies at a United States university. The Fulbright program covers graduate degrees up to two years. The scholarship is not restricted to programs or specific subject areas. University of Nottingham — Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship 2022

The University of Nottingham provides international scholarships for postgraduate masters courses to nationals of Africa, India, or countries of the Commonwealth. Thematic areas include engineering and sciences. Priority will be given to candidates who have not previously studied outside of their home country. Scholarships are available to cover either 50% or 100% of tuition fees. Students who want to make a difference to the development of their home country are encouraged to apply by 20 May 2022. Asian Institute of Technology and UNESCO-IHE — Joint Master’s Degree Programs

The Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand and the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands offer Joint Degree Master’s programs in “Environmental Technology for Sustainable Development”, “Urban Water Engineering and Management “, and “Agricultural Water Management for Enhanced Land and Water Productivity”. Applicants may seek financial support and scholarships from external sources, for example, the Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) or the Orange Knowledge Program (OKP). Melinda Gray Ardia Environmental Foundation — Grants for Environmental Education

The Melinda Gray Ardia Environmental Foundation seeks to contribute to the development, implementation, and/or field testing of environmental curricula. The objective is to empower and encourage students to become involved in solving environmental and social problems. Any organization is eligible to apply — including schools, non-profits, governmental agencies, and others. The Foundation has made grants in several developing countries. Grants are up to US$1,500. Asian Development Bank — Atoll Youth Climate Leaders

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) seeks 15 youth from atoll nations who are passionate and committed to being young leaders for change through climate action. The selected youth will be part of the project on “Catalyzing Youth-led Climate Action” and undergo capacity building through a series of training sessions. After capacity building, project teams will work on youth-led climate project demonstrations to be presented at the Ocean Conference (Palau, April 2022). Participants will each receive a certificate of completion from ADB Youth for Asia as well as a daily allowance and communication support for a total of 50 days. Eligibility extends to youth aged 18-30 years old currently living in any of the atoll nations (Marshall Islands, Kiribati, Tuvalu, or the Maldives). Thought for Food — Ambassador Program 2022

The TFF Community seeks passionate young leaders from all over the world for the TFF Ambassador Program. TFF Ambassadors are groups of volunteers worldwide who commit to spread TFF’s mission on a local level around the world. Ambassadors will have the chance to host meetups and events focused on raising awareness about food and agriculture, play a role in building essential regional, national, and international partnerships, and gain access to resources, training, and tools for capacity building. Thought for Food — MENA Agri-Food-Tech Challenge

The Thought For Food (TFF) Foundation invites innovators across the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA) region to share their innovative solutions to transform food systems. The challenge call is open to all entrepreneurs from the MENA region who have a solution to create a healthier, more sustainable and resilient food system. One Grand Prize winner will receive US$8 thousand to use for the purpose of their project and access to the TFF Digital Labs collaboration platform. The deadline to apply is 05 February 2022. We Effect — Local Partners in Agriculture

We Effect’s Regional Office for Southern Africa (ROSA) invites local civil society organizations to submit concept notes to be partner organizations in the agriculture and housing sectors. Partnering organizations deliver or support programs and projects to enable people living in poverty to improve their living conditions. Potential partners should be operating in one of the following countries: Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique. Initiative for Climate Action Transparency — Methodology of Climate Finance

The Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT) seeks a grantee to develop a methodology that supports the tracking of climate finance at the national level, links climate action to climate finance, and enables the integration of such data in a country’s transparency framework. The grantee will also provide technical support to up to three developing countries in developing a national framework to assess the climate finance needed.
