World Academy of Sciences — TWAS-CSIR Postdoctoral Fellowships in India

India’s Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) offers postdoctoral fellowships to young scientists from developing countries (other than India) to pursue postdoctoral research at CSIR’s laboratories and institutes. The duration of the fellowships is six to twelve months. Subject areas range across the physical and natural sciences, including agricultural sciences. Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards — Wildlife Photography Competition

The competition celebrates the hilarity of our natural world and highlights what we need to do to protect it through funny animal pictures. Marion Dönhoff Foundation — Environment and Sustainability

The Marion Dönhoff Fellowship supports young conservationists, scientists, and activists from the post-Soviet region and Central Asia. The program funds study or research stays in Germany for up to five months, focusing on environmental journalism, political ecology, and sustainable development. Eligible applicants must be between 25 and 38 years old, possess professional experience, and hold citizenship in countries such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, or Uzbekistan. While the foundation provides administrative support and facilitates contacts, the fellowship includes a monthly stipend and travel allowances to cover living and research expenses in Germany. LHoFT — Green Fintech

The Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT) invites applications for the third edition of Catapult: Green Fintech, an intensive acceleration program for startups driving environmental sustainability. The one-week bootcamp in Luxembourg is open to ten selected fintech firms from around the world that specialize in green finance, ESG risk management, environment measurement, or regulatory technology. While the program does not offer a direct cash grant, it provides a fully funded experience including accommodation, meals, and a travel reimbursement of up to €1,000 per company. Participants also gain access to specialized mentorship and networking opportunities with investors and industry leaders during the Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative Summit. International Renewable Energy Agency — Climate Investment Platform

The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) manages the Climate Investment Platform (CIP) to accelerate renewable energy projects in developing countries. This joint initiative provides technical assistance and financial matchmaking for project developers, governments, and private businesses. While the CIP focuses on project facilitation rather than direct grants, it helps developers access a network of partners offering equity, debt, and risk-mitigation instruments; smaller technical assistance grants can start at US$10 thousand, while larger infrastructure projects often require capital expenditures of at least US$10 million. Pulitzer Center — Global Reporting Grant

The Pulitzer Center Global Reporting Grant supports in-depth, high-impact reporting on critical issues that are often overlooked in the media, from global health to climate change. The Pulitzer Center will provide a travel grant of US$5 thousand for a reporting project on topics of global importance. The Grant is open to all journalists, writers, photographers, radio producers, filmmakers, staff journalists as well as freelancers and media professionals from any developing country. Urgent Action Fund Africa — Rapid Response Fund for African Women

Urgent Action Fund Africa (UAF-Africa) is a rapid response fund that offers financial and technical resources at critical moments of need to African women’s organizations and women’s rights activists. Grants are made in five categories, including one category on natural resources governance & climate change. The Fund aims to respond to most urgent requests within 24 hours. Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development — Fellowships Program

The Arab Fund Fellowships Program provides Arab Ph.D. holders with opportunities to conduct research and/or teach internationally. The fellowship provides maintenance allowances (about US$50 thousand over a period of 12 months), round-trip tickets for the beneficiaries and the eligible members of their families. Arab nationals who are currently working at universities in Arab member countries are eligible to apply. VivaTech — Next Startupper Award

VivaTech organizes the Next Startupper Award to celebrate student entrepreneurs driving positive change through technological innovation. The competition is open to current students from any country who have founded a tech-oriented startup or project less than three years ago that demonstrates a clear social or environmental impact. Finalists receive four-day VIP speaker passes to the event in Paris and the opportunity to pitch their solutions to industry experts. The grand prize winner receives a €5,000 cash prize and a dedicated startup corner at the 2027 edition of VivaTech. The deadline for applications is 09 March 2026. More information

Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in the Maldives and Sri Lanka

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) supports small-scale, high-impact projects designed by local partners in the Maldives and Sri Lanka. The program prioritizes initiatives focused on inclusive governance, peace and security, climate action, and economic growth. Eligible applicants include local non-governmental organizations, community groups, academic institutions, and international agencies working on local development, provided they are legally registered and hold a local bank account. While the average contribution ranges from CAN$30 thousand to CAN$60 thousand, the maximum allocation for a single project is CAN$100 thousand. The deadline for applications is 09 March 2026.
