Aga Khan Foundation — International Scholarships

The Aga Khan Foundation supports programs in rural development, broadly defined, in several developing countries. It provides scholarships and loans for postgraduate studies to outstanding students from the developing world, with priority for master’s studies. The Foundation also considers applications for PhD programs in certain circumstances. Applications are invited from the following nationalities: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Kenya, Kyrgyz Republic, Madagascar, Mozambique, Pakistan, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, and Uganda. The Foundation assists students with tuition fees and living expenses only. Please note that half of the scholarship amount is considered as a loan, which must be reimbursed. The application deadline is 01 February 2026, but earlier in some countries (please check the dates carefully). About the Fellowships

Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association — PhD scholarships 2026

The BRIDGES Research Program offers fully funded PhD scholarships for three-year doctoral projects focused on marine social-ecological systems in the southwestern Indian Ocean. Each selected PhD receives a research budget of €20 thousand. Candidates may propose multidisciplinary research, including data-collection and monitoring, social-ecological modeling, vulnerability assessment, governance and transformation of marine/coastal systems. Global Water Intelligence — Global Water Awards 2026

Nominations are open for the annual Global Water Awards 2026. Global Water Intelligence seeks technologies, plants, projects, and companies that make significant contributions to the development of the water sector. Focus areas include water or wastewater treatment, water conservation and management, ecologically sustainable industry technologies, and commercial solutions, among others. Action for Nature — International Young Eco-Hero Awards 2026

This program honors the work of young people between the ages of 8 and 16 who have completed successful projects in environmental advocacy, environmental health, research, and protection of the natural world. The selected individuals are awarded a cash prize (US$500) and certificate, as well as public recognition. The annual competition is open internationally. Latin America Regional Fund for Agricultural Technologies — Call for Proposals 2026

The Latin America Regional Fund for Agricultural Technology Fondo Regional de Tecnología Agropecuaria (FONTAGRO) calls for innovations for the sustainable increase of agricultural productivity in Latin America and the Caribbean in the context of climate change. FONTAGRO member countries are Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panamá, Paraguay, Peru, Spain, Uruguay, and Venezuela. Proposals are accepted from multi-country consortia of public and private organizations at national, regional, and international levels. Grants are up to US$200 thousand for projects of up to 36 months. Projects will require counterpart contributions. The closing date for preliminary applications (Spanish) is 30 March 2026. International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology — Research Fellowships 2026

The Arturo Falaschi Fellowships Program offers long and short-term fellowships to assist in the training of scientists from ICGEB’s member states, including many developing countries. IUCN — European Rapid-Response Fund for Invasive Alien Species

The IUCN Save Our Species (SOS) invites applications to the European Invasive Alien Species Rapid‑Response Fund. The fund offers quick-release grants ranging from €10 thousand to €50 thousand for projects up to 12 months, to help conservation actors swiftly respond to recent incursions of invasive alien species in Europe before they become established. The fund supports organisations operating within the EU (including the Canary Islands, the Azores and Madeira). The call remains open until 10 February 2027. More information
