Halcyon — Climate Fellowship

The Halcyon Climate Fellowship helps founders and entrepreneurs to address climate challenges through renewable energy, green building, agriculture, watertech, and blue economy solutions. Fellows receive expert training in Washington, DC, and critical resources to accelerate their venture. Fellows accepted into this program will receive US$10 thousand equity-free living stipend per venture. Eligibility extends to for-profit startups with scalable climate solutions from across Latin America and the Caribbean. The application deadline is 22 March 2024. Halcyon Climate Fellowship

Bayer Foundation — Women Empowerment Award

The Bayer Foundation Women Empowerment Award (WEA) recognizes women pioneering in health, nutrition, and related climate-smart solutions. Fifteen female entrepreneurs will get the chance to join the 6-month Accelerator Program and receive €25 thousand in support of their business. To qualify, applicants must center their solutions around health, nutrition, and their intersection with climate-related challenges. The award seeks to support women entrepreneurs driving impactful solutions in the Asia Pacific region, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. The application deadline is 27 March 2024. Commonwealth Scholarship Commission — Distance Learning for Masters Courses in the UK

The Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships support distance learning Master’s degree courses offered in partnership with local providers in developing countries, as well as courses delivered directly by UK universities. The available offerings include agriculture; tropical forestry; veterinary medicine; environmental management; conservation and wildlife management; risk and disaster management; and others. Eligibility for support extends to Commonwealth citizens of developing Commonwealth countries, refugees, and British-protected persons. Applicants must be permanent residents of a developing Commonwealth country and meet the entry educational requirements. The application deadline is 28 March 2024. Repsol Foundation — Energy Transition

The Repsol Foundation supports entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs that provide technological solutions to meet the challenges of the Energy Transition. The Foundation invites startups that have passed the pre-commercial phase and reached the testing phase with real customers to apply to the Entrepreneurs Fund. The Fund provides financial aid of up to €120 thousand and mentorship from former Repsol employees for one year. Repsol invites startups from the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom. The program supports industrial technology solutions in low-carbon energy technologies, biotechnology, renewable energies, and natural solutions for reducing the carbon footprint. U.S. Embassy in Cameroon — Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program

The U.S. Embassy in Cameroon seeks qualified candidates for the 2025-2026 Fulbright African Research Scholar Program. Awards of 3 to 9 months are offered for African university faculty or research institute professionals to conduct research in any academic discipline at a U.S. academic or research institution. Rockstart — AgriFood Program 2024

Rockstart funds and empowers purpose-driven founders scaling impactful solutions by leveraging emerging technologies and new business models that improve the food supply. Rockstart invests in early-stage startups with a focus on agri-tech and food-tech. It seeks solutions that restore soils and oceans to become powerhouses for CO2 capture, innovations that create value from wasted food and reduce food loss, and tools that provide consumers with better access to trustworthy, nutritious food. One Young World — Scholarships to Participate in the One Young World Summit 2024

The One Young World Summit brings together young talents (ages 18-30) from many nationalities to share solutions addressing the world’s pressing issues. To ensure that the most qualified young leaders participate in the Summit, regardless of their ability to pay, fully-funded scholarships are awarded. Each scholarship has its own deadlines and eligibility criteria, please check carefully. More scholarships will become available in the next couple of months. One Young World Scholarships

U.S. Mission to Lesotho — Self-Help Program

The special self-help program of the U.S. Embassy to Lesotho supports small, sustainable community-based initiatives that have an immediate and strong impact on the local community. The Embassy expects to support different types of projects: from development projects such as agricultural cooperatives to women’s empowerment and the environment. Grants typically range from US$3 thousand to US$10 thousand per project. All applicants must include a significant community contribution. The Embassy welcomes applications from Lesotho-based nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations, and citizens. The closing date for applications is 08 April 2024. Self-Help Program

Alstom Foundation — Project Support for NGOs

The Alstom Foundation invites project proposals from NGOs in eligible countries in the Asia-Pacific region, South Asia, Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa (a full list of eligible countries is provided in the call for proposals). The Foundation supports a range of activities, including support for water supply and sanitation; renewable energy; reforestation; waste management; ecotourism; and environmental awareness campaigns. All projects must be submitted together with an Alstom employee acting in the role of the Project Promoter. (Note: The Secretariat of the Alstom Foundation may offer support in finding a promoter. Charity Entrepreneurship — Incubation Program on How to Start a Charity

Charity Entrepreneurship accepts applications for a two-month, fully cost-covered boot camp open to individuals who want to create, start, and operate an effective charity. The Incubation Program covers management, fundraising, impact analysis, and hands-on knowledge of established non-profit organizations. New organizations will receive seed grants of up to US$200 thousand in addition to legal support, and connections to donors, mentors, and potential employees.
