The Green Web Foundation — Green Web Fellowship

The Green Web Foundation seeks practitioners for a paid part-time fellowship of 10 months. Successful fellows will deliver a project that contributes to the digital rights and climate justice movements. Fellows participate in workshops on effective climate communication, digital sustainability and more. Fellows receive a stipend of €8,400 and a project budget of €2,500 to pay for materials, travel and other expenses related to their proposed project. Connect4Climate — Climate Ambassador Program

Connect4Climate invites young professionals to apply to the 2023 Max Thabiso Edkins Climate Ambassador Program (MTECAP). The MTECAP is a six-month online program that offers a mix of technical and hands-on sessions providing young ambassadors with in-depth knowledge to implement meaningful climate action both in their communities and globally. Land Innovation Fund — Deforestation-free Agriculture

The Land Innovation Fund (LIF) invites proposals for the implementation of projects that present innovative solutions to address urgent issues on climate and environmental agendas for sustainable, low-carbon, deforestation-free agriculture. This call focuses on the sustainable and deforestation-free soy supply chain in South America’s Cerrado, Gran Chaco, and Amazon biomes. The funding amounts vary depending on the complexity of each proposal, ranging from US$500 thousand to US$2 million. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations, academic institutions, local agricultural cooperatives and businesses. Proposals are due 11 December 2022. More information

Ramsar Regional Center – East Asia — Wetland Fund 2023

The Ramsar Regional Center – East Asia (RRC-EA) accepts project proposals for funding support under the RRC-EA Wetland Fund 2023. Wetland advocates from the region are invited to apply for small grants in line with the following thematic areas: (1) Wetland Conservation; and (2) Celebration of World Wetlands Day. RRC-EA will support up to 4 projects under Thematic Area 1 with a budget of US$10 thousand each, and up to 3 projects under Thematic Area 2 with a budget of US$5 thousand each. Applicants can be practitioners, policy makers, researchers, local community leaders, media, or NGOs based in East, Southeast, and South Asia. Applications have to be submitted by 16 December 2022. Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research — Food Systems Accelerator

The CGIAR Food Systems Accelerator aims to support agribusiness with a climate-smart innovation that tackles food insecurity and increases resilience in the East and Southern Africa region. The four priority innovation themes are: Mechanization and irrigation; Conservation agriculture; Nutrition-sensitive climate smart agriculture; and Agricultural Risk Management. The program provides technical assistance and access to investors and corporate partners. Four companies will receive US$20 thousand. Global Water Partnership-Caribbean — Water Resource Capacity Building

The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean invites project proposals for the implementation of small-scale integrated water and wastewater management capacity building projects in the Caribbean. Funding of US$5 thousand per grant will be awarded to successful applicants, for the execution of capacity building programs with a maximum of five months in duration. Global Landscapes Forum — Social Media Ambassadors

The Global Landscapes Forum launches a call for young voices from all over the world to become GLF Social Media Ambassadors for 2023. The volunteer program offers free tickets and a behind-the-scenes look at all GLF and partner events, social media workshops and learning programs and a personalized certificate. Alfred Wegner Institute — Training in Observational Oceanography

The Alfred Wegner Institute hosts the Nippon Foundation-POGO Centre of Excellence. The program provides training and career development in observational oceanography, using facilities at Helgoland and Sylt in the North Sea. The next training program is open to participants from developing and emerging countries. Trainees must have at least a first degree in science. Preference will be given to applicants who currently hold a position in a research or academic institution in a developing country, and who anticipate returning to the country after completion of the training. Amazon Web Services — Clean Energy Accelerator 2023

The AWS Clean Energy Accelerator is a business acceleration program designed to support innovative mature startups that develop clean energy solutions. Finalists will receive technical, business, and go-to-market mentorship from Amazon Web Services and up to US$100 thousand each in AWS Promotional Credit. UNICEF Venture Fund — Climate Tech Solutions

The UNICEF Venture Fund provides up to US$100 thousand in equity-free investments to provide seed funding to for-profit technology start-ups developing software solutions using frontier technologies for climate action. The Fund only accepts submissions from companies registered in UNICEF program countries. Only private companies are eligible. The submission deadline is 09 January 2023.
