Earth Journalism Network — Media Partnership Reporting Fellowships to COP29

The Climate Change Media Partnership announces the COP29 Reporting Fellowship Program for journalists from low- and middle-income countries interested in covering the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29). The Fellowship will cover economy-class airfare, accommodation, meals, travel medical insurance, and ground transportation costs related to participation. The deadline is 06 June 2024. Link to CCMP

German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy — Women in Wind

The Women in Wind Global Leadership Program aims to advance the role of women in driving the energy transition and promote best practices within the wind industry. Applicants are citizens from China, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, Morocco, Philippines, Senegal, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, or Vietnam. Successful applicants will be matched with mentors and participate in a comprehensive program from June 2024 to February 2025. The application deadline is 10 May 2024. International Water Association — Digital Water Summit 2024

The International Water Association (IWA) announces the third edition of its Digital Water Summit, which will take place on 12-14 November 2024 in Bilbao, Spain. The call for content seeks industry pioneers and technology providers to submit proposals indicating the type of presentation they would like to deliver. Interested speakers and presenters are encouraged to submit their proposals. The deadline for submissions is 19 May 2024. Call for Content

Ashoka — African Climate Changemakers

The Young African Climate Changemakers Challenge calls on young people aged 16-25 across South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Botswana to unleash their innovation in tackling climate change through ideas and existing initiatives. Applicants will receive access to information and learning sessions, networking opportunities, and access to online resources on social entrepreneurship. Ashoka awards US$1000 to 10 selected winners. International Water Association — The Climate Smart Utilities Recognition Program

The International Water Association (IWA) launches the third edition of the IWA Climate Smart Utilities Recognition Program. The program recognizes ambitious and innovative efforts towards a low-carbon water and sanitation sector by utilities that are embracing the need to adapt to and mitigate climate change. Winners will receive an invitation (costs covered) to the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition in Toronto, Canada (August 2024). The application deadline is 20 May 2024. Details

SEED — Starter Program for Eco-Enterprises

SEED offers valuable resources and professional support to expand entrepreneurial ideas while learning from peers during interactive SEED Starter workshops. SEED Starter workshops consist of a team of 2-5 members that bring in a business idea for addressing environmental, social, and economic challenges. Successful alumni are invited to apply for a SEED Grant for up to €1,000 which pays for resources required to establish the new enterprise. Eco-Entrepreneurs from Kenya are invited to apply for the next starter workshop. Applications have to be received by 15 April 2024. Link to current openings

German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development — Digital Innovation for Smallholder Farmers in Latin America

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development seeks solutions that use agricultural technologies and digital tools (agritech) to enhance the profitability of smallholder farmers in Latin America, improving their resilience to climate change. Selected entities will receive grants of up to US$ 85 thousand to fund technical assistance projects tailored to the conditions, needs, and potential of smallholder farmers. The eligible countries for this call are Bolivia, Colombia, El Salvador, Honduras, Paraguay, and Peru. Applications close on 12 April 2024. Digital Innovation Call

SEED — Replicator Workshop for Eco-Enterprises

The SEED Replicator program offers incubation workshops to identify opportunities for enterprise creation and to guide aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners looking for partnerships to build an eco-inclusive business model. Successful alumni can apply for a SEED Grant which pays for your immediate necessary activities, measures, or machinery required to establish the new enterprise. SEED Replicator Program currently invites applications from entrepreneurs in India. Participation is free, although participants need to cover their transportation costs and accommodation. World Resources Institute — Land Accelerator Africa

The Land Accelerator is a training and mentorship program targeted specifically toward businesses that restore degraded forests, farmland, and pasture. The Land Accelerator Africa provides entrepreneurs across Africa with mentorship and networking opportunities, technical training, and workshops, as well as potential investors. Participants have the chance to receive an innovation grant of US$5,000. Companies that restore land and have at least one prototype are preferred. Audi Environmental Foundation — One Young World Scholarship

The One Young World Summit brings together young talents (ages 18-30) from many nationalities to share solutions addressing the world’s pressing issues. One Young World offers scholarships to ensure that the most qualified young leaders participate in the Summit, regardless of their ability to pay. Selected participants receive a fully-funded scholarship to attend the One Young World Summit in Montréal, Canada (September 2024). The application deadline is 17 March 2024.
