World Wildlife Fund U.S. — Environmental and Social Impact Grant

The Environmental and Social Impact Grant provides financial support to teams and institutions working in Kenya, Tanzania, and Madagascar focusing on enhancing capacities to address environmental and social impact assessment capacity building needs with an emphasis on local communities. The proposals should focus on WWF key goals including climate, food, forests, freshwater, oceans, and wildlife. Applicants may request up to US$ 15 thousand. U.S. Department of State — Algerian Youth Leadership Program

The Algerian Youth Leadership Program at the University of Nevada (Reno, USA) is a leadership development opportunity for Algerian and American youth. The program offers workshops and activities about civic participation and the role that social enterprises play in a community. Youth who are eligible to apply must be a legal citizen of Algeria, be 15-17 years old and have at least one year of high school remaining after the program. Land Accelerator — Restoration of Degraded Forests and Farmland

The Land Accelerator is a four-month program for entrepreneurs who wish to learn how to restore degraded forests and farmland. The program offers courses in South Asia and Latin America. The accelerator is designed for companies that are in the testing phase of taking their product to market. Any business model that is recognized as restoring land is eligible, including, but not limited to smart agriculture, water conservation, agroforestry, tree planting, and beekeeping, forest conservation. COP28 Presidency — Energy Transition Changemakers

The COP28 Presidency seeks projects that offer game-changing innovative solutions or approaches accelerating the just energy transition. Companies and organizations from all over the world are welcome to apply. The top projects will have the opportunity to present their work to an audience in separate sessions during COP28 UAE at Expo City Dubai. The deadline to apply is 09 October 2023. United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change — Global Climate Action Awards

The United Nations (UN) welcomes the submission activities that serve as examples of what people around the world are doing to address climate change. For 2023, the Awards seek to highlight the innovative climate action that young people around the world are undertaking to ensure their communities are more sustainable, resilient, and equitable places to live. The winners will receive a range of benefits, including fully-paid participation at the UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The deadline for applications is 15 October 2023. Earth Journalism Network — Media Grants to Investigate Environmental Crimes

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) awards grants to media outlets in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and South Sudan looking to investigate environmental crimes. The selected East African media houses will be expected to conceptualize, propose and lead the project in collaboration with a media outlet in Asia. Earth Journalism Network — Training: Investigate Environmental Crimes

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) trains selected journalists in East Africa on techniques to investigate money laundering, fraud, bribery and corruption, trace assets, underground money movements and illicit payment methods. Applicants can be from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda or South Sudan. Applications are open to journalists working in any medium (online, print, television, radio). The SEED Replicator program offers incubation workshops to identify opportunities for enterprise creation and to guide aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners looking for partnerships to build an eco-inclusive business model. Successful alumni can apply for a SEED Grant which pays for your immediate necessary activities, measures or machinery required to establish the new enterprise. SEED Replicator Program currently invites applications from entrepreneurs in Uganda. Participation is free, although participants need to cover their transportation costs and accommodation. Rome MED Dialogues — Youth-led Policy Lab

The  Youth Policy Lab supports youth-led climate solutions in the Mediterranean by showcasing innovative ideas globally. Selected participants will draft actionable policies shared with high-level policymakers at the 2023 Rome MED Dialogues and potentially presented at the UN Climate Change Conference of Parties (COP28).
