Earth Journalism Network — Investigating Environmental Policy in Latin America

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) offers reporting grants to support the production of enterprise stories that will explore how international diplomacy is shaping environmental policy in Latin America. ENJ welcomes any story ideas that explore environmental and natural resource governance and the way the environmental policies of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru are shaping their foreign and economic relations. ENJ expects to award at least four grants at an average grant size of US$1,500. Applications can be submitted in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Deadline for applications is 14 April 2021. 100,000 Strong in the Americas — Higher Education Partnerships

The 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund is designed to create and foster partnerships between higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Americas and the United States to provide new student exchange and training programs. The Fund makes grants of US$25 thousand to support higher education partnerships between the United States and higher education institutions in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Belize, the Dominican Republic. Eligible academic areas include, but are not limited to: Environment & Climate Solutions; Food & Agricultural Sciences; Biotechnology; Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH); and others. Investors Hub — Global Investors Hub Challenge 2021

The Investors Hub accepts applications for the Global Investors Hub Challenge 2021. Startups, entrepreneurs and companies can join the competition to get financial help, mentorship and networking opportunities for their business sector or social impact projects. The projects should have the capacity to create employment in alignment with 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This challenge is open for everyone around the world in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, Oceania, South America and North America. Winners will be given an opportunity of a bankroll from a Venture Capital Fund with the investment size of US$ 5 thousand to US$500 thousand, depending on the nature of their project. Imperial College London — Nature-based Solutions to Global Water Security

The Imperial College London seeks students to deliver a PhD project that will quantify the actual and potential contribution of nature-based solutions to global water security through a combination of field experiments in the tropical Andes and the UK. The student will be based in the Hydrology and Water Resources Laboratory at Imperial College London (UK). Studentships can provide funding for 3.5 years including tuition fees and a tax-free stipend. University of Essex — Africa Scholarship Programme 2021-2022

The University of Essex invites applications from African students who self fund their postgraduate studies. The university offers a scholarship of £4 thousand to African students that will be paid as a discount on the tuition fee. Available courses include biological sciences, marine biology, and biochemistry, among many others. Applicants that meet all the eligibility criteria and firmly accept the offer of their place by 18 September 2021 will automatically be awarded this scholarship (please read the instructions carefully). Impact-R — Energy, WASH and Food Security Nexus

Impact-Driven & Action-Based Research (Impact-R) invites microfinance institutions, NGOs, cooperatives, and technology providers with a strong social mission working in developing countries to conduct household data collection studies. The purpose of the studies is to investigate the nexus between access to energy, access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and food security, through a detailed needs/market assessment at the household level. Selected institutions will receive support for the field staff involved in the data collection and will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading research institutions. In addition, Impact-R will offer scholarships for desk research. Eligibility extends to institutions working in rural regions in Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. Government of India — Indo-Italian Joint Research Program

The Governments of India and Italy invite joint research projects by researchers of both countries. The aim is to encourage scientific and technological cooperation between Italy and India. Proposals for joint research in the following scientific areas (relevant to TVG) are eligible: Ecological and Environmental Modeling; Water Management; and Disaster Risk Management. Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund — Biodiversity Conservation in the Mediterranean Basin (Balkans)

The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) invites Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) for small grants (up to US$30 thousand) in support of biodiversity conservation in the Mediterranean Basin. Funding will be provided in support of sustainable management of water catchments/freshwater biodiversity and cultural landscapes in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and North Macedonia. Eisenhower Fellowships — Africa Program to Fight Climate Change

Eisenhower Fellowships (EF) seeks applicants for its Fall 2021 Africa Program. The program recruits dynamic change agents primarily from Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania and Zimbabwe and brings them to the United States for a professional transformational experience. Ideal candidates are between the ages 32-45 and work in fields actively confronting the consequences of climate change, including agriculture, environmental protection, water quality, food security and energy, among others. ygap — Poverty Solutions for Bangladesh

The ygap accelerator provides support to entrepreneurs from Bangladesh. Entrepreneurs and startups with project ideas and poverty solutions for their local community are invited to apply for the one week training program. The five-day workshop (April 2021) will provide social entrepreneurs with access to training designed to focus on business growth.
