Eligibility for grants extends to civil society organizations for field-based conservation. Applicants will be expected to work closely with local communities and government authorities. Women for the Environment — Africa Leadership Program
Applications are open for the 2025 Women for the Environment (WE) Africa’s Leadership Program. Women for the Environment is a mentorship program for women leaders who focus on conservation and environmental protection in Africa. The program includes monthly online sessions and two in-person retreats for intensive community-building and personal growth. Eligibility extends to African nationals with a minimum of 15 years of experience working in the environmental space in the government, NGO, or private sector. Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development — Fellowships Program
The Arab Fund Fellowships Program provides Arab Ph.D. holders with opportunities to conduct research and/or teach internationally. The fellowship provides maintenance allowances (about US$50 thousand over a period of 12 months), round-trip tickets for the beneficiaries and the eligible members of their families. Arab nationals who are currently working at universities in Arab member countries are eligible to apply. IUCN — Biodiversity Conservation
BESTLIFE2030 provides grant funding for small-scale field actions for biodiversity conservation and sustainable development in the EU’s Outermost Regions and associated Overseas Countries and Territories. The program provides support at both local and regional levels for the conservation of biodiversity and the sustainable use of ecosystem services, including for climate adaptation. Grants are a maximum of €100 thousand per recipient for projects ranging between 18 to 36 months. In order to be eligible the lead applicant must be a private or public legal entity and be located in one of the priority regions (Amazonia, the French Caribbean, the Indian Ocean and North Atlantic’s Saint Pierre and Miquelon).
