Government of India and Sri Lanka — Indo-Sri Lanka Joint Research Programme

The Government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Government of India invite proposals for joint research projects in the following scientific areas (relevant to TVG): Food Technology; Plant based medicines; Renewable Energy; Waste Management. ASEAN Foundation — Leadership Training for Social Entrepreneurs

The eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN is a partnership program between Maybank Foundation and ASEAN Foundation that consists of mentoring, regional leadership training, and overseas local community projects. The program aims to improve social and economic well-being of ASEAN communities through social enterprises and will distribute US$20 thousand to 10 selected projects. This program is eligible for citizens of ASEAN Member States (19 – 35 years old). Interested participants can apply online by 30 November 2019. Link

American Society for Microbiology — Visiting Research Professorships in Microbiology

American Society for Microbiology (ASM), in partnership with the Indo-US Science & Technology Forum (IUSSTF), announces the ASM-IUSSTF Indo-US Professorship in Microbiology. This program seeks to broaden scientific collaboration between India and the United States though travel grants that support research and teaching partnerships. A grant up to US$5 thousand is provided to cover travel costs, visa and contingencies. Funds must be matched by the host institution (note: matching grants may be in-kind contributions). Delft University of Technology — Sub-Saharan Africa Excellence Scholarships

TU Delft | Global Initiative offers four (4) Sub-Saharan Africa Excellence Scholarships to to study at the Delft University of Technology. The scholarship offers €25 thousand per year to applicants admitted to one of the 2-year regular MSc programs. Flame Tree Initiative — Off-Grid Energy Development Entrepreneurship Lab

Flame Tree Initiative (FTI) provides training, partnerships, and resources to promising African entrepreneurs seeking to create enterprises that address local development challenges. In collaboration with Mzuzu University, FTI invites Malawian entrepreneurs to apply to the Off-Grid Energy Development Entrepreneurship Lab (DELab). Climate Tracker — Assignment for Photographers

Climate Tracker seeks 20 photographers from selected countries in Africa, South Asia, Asia-Pacific, and the Caribbean to cover topics on global climate solutions ranging from renewable energy, climate displacement, coastal resilience, mangroves restoration, and more. Photographers will be compensated for their work with a stipend of €350. Local travel costs will be covered. Applications are invited from photographers with professional experience and knowledge of environmental and climate change issues. Photographers aged 18-30 are encouraged to apply. Netherlands Organization for Cooperation in Higher Education — Institutional Collaboration Projects

The Netherlands Organization for Cooperation in Higher Education (NUFFIC) calls for joint proposals for Orange Knowledge institutional collaboration projects. The program aims to strengthen professionals and organisations from developing countries through education and training. The maximum available funding for this call falls between the amounts of €600 thousand and €2.2 million (depending on the call for proposals). Programs include subjects in energy and food security. Indo-US Science and Technology Forum — Biotechnology Fellowships in USA

The IUSSTF announces the 2020 Khorana Program for Scholars. The program will provide a stipend, airfare, and health insurance to enable Indian students to undertake 10-12 weeks of research at U.S. universities in areas of biotechnology, including agricultural biotechnology. BiodivERsA — Biodiversity and Climate Change

BiodivERsA announces its call on theme “Biodiversity and Climate Change.” The call aims at supporting transnational research projects jointly addressing issues at the nexus of biodiversity and animal, human and/ or plant health (including biological diversity; effects of global change factors; and biodiversity benefits). The participating countries in this call are Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, and Turkey. Government of India — India-Israel Joint Research Cooperation

The Department of Science & Technology (DST) and the Ministry of Science and Technology of State of Israel provide financial support for joint research activities carried out by Indian and Israeli researchers. The priority area under this call is Renewable Energy. The maximum funding available for all research projects under this call is Rs. 4 crore for the Indian side and 4 million NIS for the Israeli side, for the two year period.
