Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area — Woman Greening Food Systems Award

PRIMA seeks innovative solutions for greening food systems, emphasizing practices led by women in the Mediterranean region, focusing on environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, and resource efficiency in agriculture, food production, and waste reduction. Journalism Fund — Investigation Grants for Environmental Journalism

The Investigation Grants for Environmental Journalism supports cross-border teams of professional journalists or news outlets to conduct investigations into environmental affairs related to Europe. The grant covers working time and expenses such as logistics, travel, insurance, access to legal support, translations, and access to technology and data sets. The total available amount to be distributed among all supported investigations will be around €400 thousand. International Elephant Foundation — Elephant Conservation and Research 2025

The International Elephant Foundation makes grants for the conservation and research of elephants. Eligibility extends to organizations and individuals internationally — including students, scientists, and institutions. The Foundation supports in situ or ex-situ conservation of African or Asian elephants or their habitats. Most awards are about US$15 thousand for one year. European Marine Research Network — Foresight Workshops

EuroMarine funds Foresight Workshops with a maximum funding of €10 thousand. Workshops should focus on emerging and important topics requiring European-wide coordination. All workshops are expected to yield scientific publications in the wider area of understanding, protection, and management of the Ocean. Proposals should involve at least three full Member Organizations of EuroMarine, from at least two different countries. The Pollination Project — Seed Capital for Community Projects Worldwide

The Pollination Project offers seed funding of up to US$1 thousand to compassion-driven individuals, informally organized groups and organizations, and formally registered or incorporated non-profit organizations based anywhere in the world. Topics for projects include education, clean water, afforestation, animal advocacy, and many others. The Pollination Project welcomes applications on a rolling basis. Program Overview

Charles Stewart Mott Foundation — Environmental Grant Making

The Mott Foundation funds grants in the United States and, on a limited geographic basis, internationally. The theme “Environment” supports projects around the world that protect communities and the ecosystems upon which they depend. The program “Transforming Development Finance” aims to guard against unwise capital investments in large-scale dams, extractive industries, and other major projects which threaten environmental sustainability and local economic opportunity in China, Latin America, and other regions of the developing world. The program “Advancing Climate Change Solutions” makes grants to reduce policy and financial barriers to investments in clean energy, and to provide technical assistance and networking opportunities to communities in the Amazon and Sub-Saharan Africa. African Development Bank — Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa

The Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA) provides catalytic finance to unlock private-sector investments in renewable energy. SEFA offers technical assistance and concessional finance instruments. Funding requests must be aligned with three strategic priorities: (1) Green Baseload; (2) Green Mini-Grids; and (3) Energy Efficiency. UNESCO — Environmental Sustainability and Climate Action

The Youth Impact: Because You Matter initiative seeks to support young people to help their communities through climate action and environmental sustainability initiatives, by providing them with resources and skills necessary to implement their innovative projects. Project leaders worldwide will receive US$ 8,500 each and one-to-one mentorship to implement their projects. Project proposals can be submitted until 08 April 2025. Details

African German Young Leaders in Business — Green Cities

The AGYLE (African German Young Leaders in Business) program invites young leaders from Ethiopia, Ghana, Rwanda, Senegal, Tunisia, and Germany to apply for its 2025 cohort. The program aims to foster a unique African-German business network, connecting young professionals to develop innovative ideas for a sustainable future. The 2025 theme, “Green Cities Rising,” focuses on pioneering sustainable urban development, addressing challenges in mobility, architecture, energy supply, waste management, and digitization. Arizona State University — Competition for Women Social Entrepreneurs

The WE Empower UN SDG Challenge is a global competition for women social entrepreneurs who are advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The challenge honors innovative women entrepreneurs, invests in the most inspiring and transformational ideas, and ignites awareness. Awardees will participate in a dynamic pitch competition to present their business for the opportunity to receive a US$20 thousand grant.
