American Society for Microbiology — Visiting Research Professorships in Microbiology

American Society for Microbiology (ASM), in partnership with the Indo-US Science & Technology Forum (IUSSTF), announces the ASM-IUSSTF Indo-US Professorship in Microbiology. This program seeks to broaden scientific collaboration between India and the United States though travel grants that support research and teaching partnerships. A grant up to US$5 thousand is provided to cover travel costs, visa and contingencies. Funds must be matched by the host institution (note: matching grants may be in-kind contributions). Climate Justice Resilience Fund — Grants for Climate Change Adaptation

The Climate Justice Resilience Fund seeks grants applications for community-led, social justice approaches to climate change adaptation and resilience-building. Grants are made to women, youth, and indigenous peoples to create and share their own solutions for resilience. CJRF grants focus on four interrelated issues connected which climate change: (1) Water Access; (2) Food Security; (3) Sustainable Livelihoods; and (4) Migration and Relocation. The CJRF grantmaking strategic framework prioritizes multi-year grants and grants larger than US$100 thousand. Non-profit organizations from Alaska, Kenya, Tanzania, Bangladesh, and the India are invited to apply. Letters of Inquiry for the Spring Round 2019 are due 21 December 2018 and LOIs for the Fall Round 2019 have to be submitted by 19 April 2019. More about the Climate Justice Resilience Fund

Association of Field Ornithologists — Bergstrom Grants for Avian Research in the Americas

The Association of Field Ornithologists (AFO) is dedicated to the scientific study and dissemination of information about birds in their natural habitats. The Alexander Bergstrom Memorial Research Awards support avian research in the U.S./Canada and Latin America. Grants are up to US$1,500. Applicants and/or their primary research supervisors must be members of the AFO. Application deadlines are 15 January for USA/Canada, and 15 July for Latin America. See the grant opportunity
