Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council — Agri-Systems Research to Enhance Livelihoods in Developing Countries

The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) seeks proposals for its “Agri-systems research to enhance livelihoods in developing countries”. The aim of this call is to enhance livelihoods through interdisciplinary research to improve agricultural systems. The total requested budget should not exceed £1.5 million. The program is open to UK researchers eligible for funding from the BBSRC. For this call, applications are expected to include “in-country” researchers as co-investigators. Government of Czech Republic — University Scholarships for Applicants from Developing Countries

The Czech Republic provides scholarships to support nationals from developing countries at public institutions of higher education in the Czech Republic. The fields of study include ecology, wildlife management, natural resources, forestry, and tropical agriculture (among others). Applications need to be submitted before 30 September of each year. The KEEN Effect — Critical Coastlines Grant Program

The Critical Coastlines Grant Program funds community-based or non-profit organizations from around the world working to improve the resilience of coastal ecosystems. Threats relevant to this program include ecosystem collapse, climate change, rising sea levels, ocean pollution, ocean acidification, overfishing, and natural disasters. Selected winners receive US$10 thousand in support of their project. Eligibility extends to organizations and individuals. The application deadline is 30 September 2018. Wildlife Photo — Habitats & Landscapes 2018

The wildlife photography contest series for 2018 is open. Wildlife Photo will award prizes worth US$18 thousand in total (including photography trips and equipment). A selection of winners and highly-commended images will be exhibited on an outdoor screen in New York City. The contest series is made up of three separate photo contests, each with a different theme and deadline. The next deadline for ‘Habitats & Landscapes’ is 30 September 2018. Know more
