Compassion in World Farming International — Farm Animals in Asia
Compassion in World Farming International accepts applications for three different types of grants to organizations who are invested in improving farm animal welfare in Indonesia, Japan or South Korea. Training Grants (US$4,000) to support individuals and organizations in growing their capacity, Organization Development Grants (US$7,000) to establish or expand the ability to advocate for farm animals, and Campaigning Grants (US$9,000) to cover the costs of delivering campaigns which advocate for regional, national or local government action. Applicants may be individuals, charities or non-profit organizations who work within areas such as farm animal advocacy, climate change and environmental protection. The Swedish Institute Management Program (SIMP) Northern and Eastern Europe seeks ambitious and innovative leaders who want to learn more about sustainable business practices. The international leadership program offers proven tools and knowledge from experts with the goal to help participants to develop and implement an action-oriented sustainability strategy. The Swedish Institute covers the cost of training and content for all participants. Participants of the SIMP program will be selected from both businesses and organizations. The Mexico Standard Program promotes the protection and restoration of wetland ecosystems and other habitats for wetlands-associated migratory birds and other fish and wildlife. Association of Zoos and Aquariums — Conservation Grants Fund 2022
The AZA’s Conservation Grants Fund makes grants for animal health; animal welfare; conservation education; field conservation and/or reintroduction; management and/or breeding; and research. The principal investigator in a grants application must be an AZA member. Many grants are awarded to collaborations among AZA-accredited institutions; government wildlife agencies; academia; and conservation NGOs. We Effect — Local Partners in Agriculture
We Effect’s Regional Office for Southern Africa (ROSA) invites local civil society organizations to submit concept notes to be partner organizations in the agriculture and housing sectors. Partnering organizations deliver or support programs and projects to enable people living in poverty to improve their living conditions. Potential partners should be operating in one of the following countries: Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique. U.S. Mission to Pakistan — Addressing Environment Protection and Climate Change to Promote Tourism
The U.S. Consulate announces funding to increase environmental awareness among people in Pakistan and address threats to the local environment and the impact that those threats may have on economic development. The project aims to better equip citizens in the northern areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with strategies to protect the environment and make the area more attractive to regional and international tourists. The grantee will carry out research on best practices for citizen activism and sustainable environmental tourism, with a particular focus on U.S. best practices.
