The U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for a project to strengthen support for environmental defenders in Latin America. DRL prioritizes countries and communities in Latin America where violence against environmental defenders is most acute. The total funding available under this call is US$2 million. DRL welcomes applications from U.S.-based and foreign-based non-profit organizations, institutions of higher education; and businesses. The closing date for applications is 23 April 2022.
