The European Commission (EC) seeks to strengthen the role and the involvement of civil society in forestry management and conservation service. The EC requests proposals that focus on the sustainable management of the forests and maintain and improve the protective function of forests in Jamaica. U.S. African Development Foundation — Agricultural Grant Financing

The .U.S. African Development Foundation (USADF) invites proposals for grant financing and local support from African agricultural cooperatives, producer groups, processors, and enterprises for grant financing. Grants will support solutions that extend the organizations’ own capabilities to increase your revenues, create jobs, improve farmer incomes, and achieve sustainable market-based growth. Islamic Development Bank — Science, Technology and Innovation Transform Fund

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) seeks applications for the Transform Fund. The Transform Fund Call for Innovation 2021 will focus on building resilience through innovation in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic in relation to 6 Sustainable Development Goals: Zero Hunger; Good Health and Well-Being; Quality Education; Clean Water and Sanitation; Affordable and Clean Energy; and Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. MIT Solve seeks nominations for the 2021 Elevate Prize. The Prize annually awards $5 million in prize funding and services to a group of 10 leaders who are tackling the most urgent issues of our time around the world. Challenges include, but are not limited to, mitigating and adapting to the impact of climate change, creating safe environments, ensuring access to quality education and healthcare. Council of Managers of National Antarctic Programs — Antarctic Fellowship 2021

The Council of Managers of National Antarctic Programs (CONMAP) invites early-career researchers to apply for the COMNAP Antarctic Fellowship. Applications are welcome from a range of disciplines and fields, including Environmental Management and other Science backgrounds. Eligibility extends to candidates who hold a doctorate, masters, or undergraduate degrees with not more than 5 years since completion. One award of up to US$15 thousand is available. COST Action MOBILISE — Short-Term Scientific Missions

Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) are exchange visits between researchers involved in a COST Action allowing scientists to visit an institution or laboratory with the aim of building a cooperative network to support research for biodiversity informatics. STSMs support scientific exchange visits with a duration of between 7-14 days with funding of up to a maximum of €3,500. Financial support is limited to cover travel, accommodation and meal expenses. Applicants must be PhD students or postdoctoral fellows at an institution, organization or legal entity from a COST member or near neighbor country. Ramsar Convention– Wetland Conservation Awards 2021

The Secretariat of the Ramsar Convention calls for nominations for the 8th edition of the Ramsar Wetland Conservation Awards, which will be presented at the 14th meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties (COP14) in Wuhan, China. The awards recognize and honor the contributions of individuals, organizations, and governments around the world in promoting the conservation and wise use of wetlands. U.S. Mission to India — Air Quality Hackathon

The Air Quality Hackathon is a brainstorming event to find practical solutions for improving air quality. Results and solutions will be shared and implemented during a follow-on campaign with school communities and NGO partners. The applicants will conduct a survey to measure the impact of the intervention program after the project is over. The maximum funding amount is US$60 thousand. Investors Hub — Global Investors Hub Challenge 2021

The Investors Hub accepts applications for the Global Investors Hub Challenge 2021. Startups, entrepreneurs and companies can join the competition to get financial help, mentorship and networking opportunities for their business sector or social impact projects. The projects should have the capacity to create employment in alignment with 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This challenge is open for everyone around the world in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, Oceania, South America and North America. Winners will be given an opportunity of a bankroll from a Venture Capital Fund with the investment size of US$ 5 thousand to US$500 thousand, depending on the nature of their project. Dutch Research Council — Local Energy Systems

Samenwerking China (NSFC) and Dutch Research Council (NWO) invite researchers from knowledge institutions from The Netherlands and China to submit proposals for research on the transition towards sustainable and social local energy districts. The call focuses on sustainable urbanisation and the transition to sustainable energy at the local level. Eligibility extends to research consortia composed of researchers based in The Netherlands and in China. Consortia can apply for a maximum of €700 thousand from NWO and a maximum of ¥4 million from NSFC. The deadline for this call for proposals is 11 May 2021. Link
