The COAL Prize 2026 invites artists to submit projects dedicated to “The Night.” The program seeks to support contemporary art that addresses ecological issues by defending the night as a common good, a refuge for biodiversity, and a vital rhythm for the regeneration of life. The Prize is open to artists from all over the world. The winner receives €12 thousand to support artwork in progress and benefits from an (optional) residence run by the Museum of Hunting and Nature at the Belval Domaine. In parallel, a call for projects is open for the COAL Student Prize – Culture & Diversity for students of schools in the artistic and cultural field. The application deadline is 28 April 2026.
