The African Development Fund (ADF) recognizes climate change as a major threat to Africa. The Fund has launched a call for proposals through its Climate Action Window (CAW) specifically seeking projects that mitigate greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture, forestry, land use, and fisheries; improve water access and wastewater management; and accelerate a just energy transition. The CAW will also support projects that address nature-based solutions and aim to restore mangroves and wetlands. Funding requested for a single project or program may range between US$ 3 million to 5 million. Eligible beneficiaries are governments and government entities of ADF countries.
