Misereor is the international development agency of the Catholic Church in Germany. Its mission is to fight hunger, disease, poverty, and other forms of human suffering in Asia, Africa, and Latin America by strengthening self-initiative.

Misereor works with local organizations as its partners to address the needs of the weakest members of society. Issues important to Misereor include small-scale agriculture, land access, water, climate change and energy, and other basic needs in impoverished communities.
