The FEMSA Foundation (Fundación FEMSA) was established in 2008 by the FEMSA corporate group, a leader in the drinks and beverages industries of Mexico and Latin America.

The Foundation makes grants for health and nutrition, and for sustainable development of water resources.

Grant Programs for Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources
Water. The Foundation makes grants for sustainable development in three focus areas: water and sanitation, water security. and applied scientific research. Grant recipients for water projects include government agencies, development NGOs, foundations and institutes, and other nonprofit organizations in Latin America.

About the program

APPLICATION: FEMSA only accepts proposals from organizations, not individuals. Interested applicants describe their organization and specific project goals. Forms can be submitted at anytime.

The Foundation’s website is available in Spanish and English.

Regarding research and training, the Foundation helps fund the Water Center for Latin America and the Caribbean in Monterrey, Mexico. The Water Center sponsors international academic programs, specialized courses, and research programs in water management.
