World Wildlife Fund — Conservation Leadership in Mozambique and Myanmar 2017

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF-U.S.), through its Education for Nature program, offers special grants to build capacity for conservation leadership in Mozambique and Myanmar. The Russell E. Train Fellowships provide support for conservationists in Mozambique and Myanmar to pursue graduate-level study anywhere in the world with the goal of advancing conservation in both countries. Applicants may request up to US$30 thousand per year for up to two years. The application deadline is 01 March 2017. Note: Additional grants are available for short-term training (for individuals) and training workshops (for organizations) in both countries. Link

Belmont Forum — Sustainable Urbanization Global Initiative

The Sustainable Urbanization Global Initiative on the Food-Water-Energy Nexus is a joint effort of the Belmont Forum and Urban Europe. The objective is to promote international collaborative research that aims to find solutions to the Food-Water-Energy nexus for sustainable urbanization. Participation in the initiative includes research organizations in member states of the EU plus research institutions in each of Argentina, Brazil, Qatar, Japan, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey, and USA. The program announcement includes the research themes; participation criteria; timeline; and related guidelines. The deadline for pre-proposals is 15 March 2017. Link
