Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute — 3-year Postdoctoral Research Fellowship

The Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) invites applications for the Earl S. Tupper 3-year postdoctoral fellowship. Research should be based at one of the STRI facilities, but proposals that include comparative research in other tropical countries will also be considered. The annual stipend is US$55 thousand, the annual research budget is up to US$16 thousand. Please note that applicants must find a STRI scientific staff member who will serve as their main host/advisor before submitting a final application. Compassion in World Farming International — Farm Animals in Asia

Compassion in World Farming International accepts applications for three different types of grants to organizations who are invested in improving farm animal welfare in Indonesia, Japan or South Korea. Training Grants (US$4,000) to support individuals and organizations in growing their capacity, Organization Development Grants (US$7,000) to establish or expand the ability to advocate for farm animals, and Campaigning Grants (US$9,000) to cover the costs of delivering campaigns which advocate for regional, national or local government action. Applicants may be individuals, charities or non-profit organizations who work within areas such as farm animal advocacy, climate change and environmental protection. Eppley Foundation — Research in Biological and Physical Sciences

The Eppley Foundation for Research funds projects in medicine, life sciences, and the physical sciences. Areas of interest include innovative medical investigations and applications; endangered animals and ecosystems; and climate change. Applicants for grants must be associated with recognized nonprofit educational or research institutions in the US. Grants may be awarded for research internationally when applicants are based in the USA or are associated with U.S. institutions that will administer the grants. Most grants are under US$25 thousand. European Commission — Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships 2022

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships provide opportunities to acquire and transfer new knowledge and to work on research in a European context or outside Europe. The scheme particularly supports the return and re-integration of researchers from outside Europe who have previously worked there. It also develops or helps to re-start the careers of individual researchers that show great potential, considering their experience. United States Agency for International Development — Economic Recovery through Sustainable Development

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Mali accepts the submission of concept papers focused on catalyzing private sector investment for Mali’s economic recovery through inclusive and sustainable development. Concept papers should focus on inclusive and sustainable agriculture-led growth. Funding for individual applications is anticipated to be in the range of US$250 thousand to US$1,5 million to be provided over a period of 2-5 years.
