The RBC Blue Water Project is an important dimension of RBC’s commitment to environmental sustainability, and its largest charitable initiative to date. The first phase of the RBC Blue Water Project is a grant program of CA$50 million over ten years (from 2007) to foster water stewardship in Canada and internationally.

APPLICATION: The Blue Water Project posts grant-making criteria and information about its online application process.
Leadership Grants: Leadership Grants are open to organizations that are recognized as leaders in water programs in Canada, the USA, and other countries where RBC does business. RBC makes grants from CAN$10 thousand to CAN$100 thousand to nonprofit charitable organizations, which may work in partnership with other organizations.
Community Action Grants: These focus on watershed protection by local and community organizations in Canada, the USA, and the Caribbean. Grants range from CAN$1 thousand to CAN$10 thousand.
Applications describe the applying organization; the program or project for which funding is requested; and the organization’s budget and financial situation.
In both categories, the Blue Water Project posts annual application deadlines.
