Altria is the parent company of Philip Morris USA, Philip Morris International, other tobacco companies, and major food companies. In the area of corporate responsibility, Altria and its subsidiary companies support nonprofit organizations with cash grants and in-kind assistance in communities where the companies are represented, and in agricultural regions where it sources tobacco. PMI defines several thematic areas for its grant making. Grant recipients are mainly foundations, educational institutions, development NGOs, agriculture and industry associations, and other nonprofit organizations in countries where PMI operates.
