The IAPF makes grants in a broad range of areas. It is especially interested in projects that inspire those directly benefiting from the project to give back to their communities, both during the project and into the future. The Foundation has a regional program (upper mid-western USA) and an international program (developing countries). Among its international grants, IAPF funds projects environmental conservation and natural resources management. Grant Programs for Agriculture, Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources International Program. The Foundation makes grants for projects in subject areas that include education, health, and natural resources at the community level. Examples of the latter include projects in aquaculture, community tree planting, community wildlife conservation, and others.
