Humane Earth Foundation

Focus of This Profile: Grants to civil society organizations in Europe for environmental conservation and related social action.

Principal Office: Switzerland

The Humane Earth Foundation (La Fondation pour une Terre Humaine -- FTH) makes grants to civil society organizations in Europe for social action to defend the natural environment, and to combat poverty and exclusion.

FTH funds projects that inform people of risks associated with threats to the environment and biodiversity; that lead to changed behavior in relation to the environment; and that spread knowledge of successful experience to show that change is possible.

The Foundation takes an activist approach in defining the issues it supports.
