With funding from the European Commission, the African Union Commission invites proposals for research in post-harvest and agriculture; renewable and sustainable energy; and water and sanitation in Africa. Eligibility extends to most European, African, and other developing (ACP) countries -- and OECD/DAC countries for actions in the least-developed African countries. The AU favors proposals from consortia of scientists in at least three ACP countries, including two or more countries in Africa. Grants range from €500 thousand to €750 thousand, subject to co-financing requirements. The deadline for applications (English or French) is 20 April 2012. Link
