Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) -- Energy Innovations in the Caribbean

The IDB, in collaboration with several partners, sponsors the "Ideas Energy Innovation Contest" to increase energy efficiency and access to renewable energies in the Caribbean. The competition is open to business initiatives and commercial projects which may be at an early stage, but which have potential to achieve significant scale. Applications are invited from individuals, enterprises, and organizations in Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago. Funding is up to US$200 thousand for each of the winning projects. The closing date for applications is 30 April 2012. Link
